The Premise

The DECAmentary follows athletes as they compete in one of the most grueling tests of human endurance ever conceived, the Swissultra Deca Continuous Iron-distance triathlon (that’s an Ironman blown up 10 times).

On August 16, 2017, 16 competitors begin their journey into the unknown. Will they succeed in their quest to complete the course, or will the endless miles crush them? They will find out over the course of 14 days.

Associated Projects

The DECAmentary is the natural extension of the production team’s first exposure to the world of ultradistance triathlon events, the 2016 Anvil Ultra Tri in Virginia.

From the Anvil grew a desire to gain insight into the athletes who put their body and spirits on the line to explore the limits of human endurance.
